What is included in the set, and can I build it myself?
The main item (chair or table) is always included. You freely choose which accessories to add: seat cushion, footstool, side table or protective cover. Every set can be configured individually, and the price adjusts automatically.
Do I get a discount in the set compared to buying individually?
Yes. Every accessory component is discounted in the set compared to its regular individual price. The more you combine, the bigger the saving.
How is the set delivered?
As a kit with pre-drilled parts, screws and assembly instructions. You will need a cordless screwdriver with a Robertson bit (square, size 2). Assembly takes 60 to 120 minutes per component.
How long does delivery to a Swiss address take?
2 to 3 working days after your order is received. We ship from our warehouse in the Swiss Mittelland.
Can I return the set?
Yes, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Returns are possible in unused, unassembled condition.
How long does the wood last outdoors?
Western Red Cedar and Canadian white pine are naturally resistant to weather and pests. With good care, the furniture lasts 25 years and longer. Annual cleaning and optional oiling preserve the original colour tone.
Do I need a protective cover?
Not necessarily: the furniture is weatherproof without a cover. A protective cover does, however, reduce how often you need to clean and protects against bird droppings, pollen and leaf stains. Particularly recommended under trees or for longer periods without use.
When should I choose the straight version, and when the angled one?
In the straight version, the two seats sit in parallel with a small table between them. It suits the classic aperitif situation, looking out in the same direction, over a lake, the garden or the view. If you want more conversational closeness, choose the angled version.
How long does assembly take?
Around 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the model and your experience. All parts are pre-drilled and instructions are included. For the Loveseat and Tête-à-Tête, allow 90 to 120 minutes.
Which tools do I need?
A cordless screwdriver with a Phillips bit (PH2) and a Robertson bit (square, size 2). We are happy to provide the right bit on request.
Do I need to oil the wood?
No. Western Red Cedar is naturally weatherproof. Oiling preserves the warm reddish-brown tone; if you like the silver-grey patina, you can skip it.
My chair has turned grey, is it damaged?
No. The grey patina is a natural UV reaction, not damage. To restore the reddish-brown tone: brush lightly, clean with Bear Chair Cleaner and re-oil.
Are small cracks in the wood grounds for complaint?
No. Solid wood works and develops fine longitudinal cracks. This is a characteristic of real wood and affects neither stability nor lifespan.
Can the chair stay outdoors over winter?
Yes. Western Red Cedar is frost-resistant. A protective cover extends the life of its looks but is not a must. Always store seat cushions dry indoors.
How long does delivery take?
From our Swiss warehouse, usually 2 to 3 working days.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, we provide a 2-year warranty from the delivery date. For chairs assembled by us, we grant a 10-year warranty.
