Why a protective cover makes sense
A Bear Chair costs from CHF 490, the protective cover CHF 76, around 15 percent of the chair price. Without a cover, the wood surfaces grey faster, rain and sun accelerate fading, and dirt can burn itself in. With a cover, the chair stays like new for considerably longer.
Material and workmanship
The 420D polyester fabric is considerably thicker and more resistant than standard off-the-shelf covers. Reinforced seams and a continuous inner band ensure dimensional stability. The inside is coated so that water beads off and the cover does not stick to the wood.
We have the protective cover manufactured in China to our own specifications and our high quality standard. For weather protection of outdoor furniture made from natural wood, polyester is practically without alternative: cotton or linen covers only survive one to two seasons of Swiss weather.
Fit and compatibility
The protective cover was developed for the Bear Chair range and fits: Original, Classic, Royal (Cedar and Composite), Grizzly, Pine, Recliner as well as the Folding. It generously encloses the backrest, seat and armrests and sits securely without slipping.
Not suitable for the double chair models (Tête-à-Tête, Loveseat), the benches and the Kids Chair. For these models we offer adapted sizes on request; just get in touch with us directly.

Handling and care
Putting it on takes under a minute; store it rolled up in the storage bag provided. Clear water is all you need for cleaning: no soapy water, no solvents, no washing machine (that would damage the UV coating).
Tip: Let the chair dry briefly before putting on the cover. Damp surfaces under closed covers encourage mould growth.
When it matters most
We recommend using it primarily during the winter period and in multi-day rainy spells. In summer, the Bear Chair can happily stay outside without a cover; Western Red Cedar is naturally weatherproof.
The protective cover is in stock. Delivery takes place within 2 to 5 working days of receipt of payment.
